Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)
The lymphatic system has three main functions that are interconnected, it is responsible for the removal of interstitial fluid from tissues; it absorbs and transports fatty acids (chyle) to the circulatory system; and it transports immune cells to and from the lymph nodes.

The lymphatic system contains lymphatic fluid, lymphatic capillaries, vessels, nodes, ducts and various organs. Lymphatic capillaries are very fragile vessels that are made of collagen fibres connecting them to most of the body’s organs like a tight spiders web.
