About Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It is the practical psychology of how to use the mind to consistently achieve our goals in all areas of life (in relationships, family, career, health and fitness, personal and spiritual development etc.). Neuro means the nervous system by which our experiences are processed via the five senses (seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting and smelling). Linguistic means language and also non-verbal communication systems through which our experiences are coded, ordered and given meaning. This includes remembered or imagined sounds, images, feelings, tastes and smells. Programming means the ability to discover, utilise and change the patterns that we run in our thinking, feeling and behaving. Your thinking and feeling shapes your experience of the world. Changing the patterns of your thinking and feeling changes your reality! NLP is about how to change it for the better.

How does NLP work?

Since its beginnings in the early 1970's, the developers of NLP have done extensive research into how people naturally overcome their problems. This research has yielded a deep understanding of how people unconsciously contribute to both the creation and the solution of their problems. In an NLP session we work purposefully with these unconscious processes through powerful techniques such as guided visualisation, anchoring new associations, Time Line Therapy™, hypnosis, metaphors, creative imagination, re-imprinting etc. to name a few. All of these techniques have already helped millions to enhance mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.

During an NLP session you will sit comfortably and after an initial interview, Michael will guide you through the appropriate processes. Michael's clients commonly report having made profoundly positive transformations while feeling comfortable and relaxed in the natural flow of every session.
