Tui Na Therapeutic Massage

Tui Na is point pressure musculoskeletal work using a Chinese style of therapeutic acupressure (similar to shiatsu). Tui Na includes varying depth of pressing and kneading. It is a comprehensive system of Traditional Chinese Medicine that can be incorporated with other TCM modalities such as moxa, cupping and acupuncture treatments. Tui Na literal meaning is to 'push pull'. Often only one treatment is needed. No longer offered as a stand alone treatment, Jacqueline Greenfield ND may apply Tui Na techniques along with a traditional acupuncture session.

Jacqueline Greenfield ND has advanced training in Tui Na as part of her postgraduate education in Chinese Medicine. Depending on the type of problem, she may also use the following additional treatments:

Yoga for Rehabilitation: Instructions and demonstration of 1 or 2 yoga exercises may be indicated to perform gentle muscle stretching at home between treatments. Progressive gentle yoga exercises are based on the principles of Integral Yoga Institute for peaceful mind and easeful body after musculoskeletal treatments.

Microcurrent Sequential Treatments: low voltage, low intensity vibrational healing utilises muscle origins, insertions, local pain and acupuncture points, meridian and microsystem relationships may be included for faster pain relief and immune balancing.
