The process of Psychotherapy examines the relationship between your past and how you live now. It looks at the significant relationships that you developed early on in your life, and looks at the connections between these and your present relationships. Any difficulties can be seen and understood and then re-framed within a helpful context. Psychotherapy works with the present and the unconscious and uses the client/therapist relationship as a guide for understanding the dynamics that occur in your day-to-day life. It is a reflective process. The role of the therapist is to assist you through the process of self-discovery. It is an approach that can help you find your own solutions.
